Standardized assessments
The Massachusetts Department of Education requires that all learners take a standardized assessment at least once every year.
Learners must comply with the standardized assessment requirement to receive a tutor from English At Large. Learn more.

Visit Our Library
English at Large has revamped our library! Hard-working volunteers have completely reorganized and cataloged the entire collection of ESL teaching materials. Our more than 1,700 volume library is now arranged on the shelves by categories like "Vocabulary", "Life Skills", and "Teaching Aids", making it easy for tutors and learners to find the right book, series, or worksheets for the topic they want. We've put in a lot of time to make this library a great resource for our English tutors and learners - come check it out!

Community resources directory
If your learner needs more help than an English literacy tutor can provide, contact the English At Large office or browse the Community Resources Directory for local human services organizations that can help.
